The International Society for the Measurement of Physical Behaviour (ISMBP) hosted its 4th International Conference on Ambulatory Monitoring of Physical Activity and Movement (ICAMPAM) in Limerick, Ireland from June 10-12, 2015. The conference was held on the campus of the University of Limerick, located on the edge of Limerick city in the West of Ireland.
The scientific programme consisted of 5 keynote speakers from world leading researchers. Parallel sessions of short oral presentations and symposia provided key updates and discussions on developments in theory, methods and new findings related to the measurement of physical behaviours and movement. Workshops, suitable for both early-career researchers and leading experts also took place. Scientific poster sessions featured informally throughout the day, while dedicated time to poster presentations will be provided to allow presenters to discuss their findings.
Professor Alan Donnelly is from the department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, and is director of the Centre for Physical Activity Research (CPAHR) at the University of Limerick. This centre conducts multidisciplinary and translational research in physical activity and health.
The University of Limerick local organising committee is composed of members from the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, the Department of Clinical Therapies and the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering.
